Course Description:
The elevation of Lake Arrowhead is 5,200feet.
Aside from the start, there is only one transition area at the Resort's main parking lot. From there it is only a short walk to the swim start.
The 600 yard swim is a point to point swim from the Resort to the Yacht club boat ramp.
The Bike is 10 mile loop, clockwise, around Lake Arrowhead on an Open road. It is a technical bike course with lots of turns and hills. You will find this to be one of the most challenging bike courses you could do in any sprint triathlon. It has about 900 feet of climbing. The bike section of the course is open to traffic, so PLEASE ride with caution.
The 3 mile run will be on a closed road. It is out and back with rolling hills, finishing at the far end of the Peninsula in the Lake Arrowhead Village.
General Information & Fees:
Entry fees are non-refundable. Relay members must submit individual entry forms either by mail or online. Packet pickup will begin at 3pm, either in the lobby of the Lake Arrowhead Resort, or in the Lake Arrowhead Village, until 8pm. Late registration and packet pickup will then resume race morning at 5:30am at the Lake Arrowhead Village.
General Rules:
Bike helmets are required. No drafting during the bike course. Athletes must stay to the shoulder of the road during the bike. The bike is on an open road. The run will be on a closed road. The roads will be heavily monitored by the CHP and Volunteer Sheriffs to ensure safety. Wetsuits will be allowed. Water will be in the low to mid 70 degrees.

Starting Friday, August 15th, from 3pm-8pm at the Lake Arrowhead Resort.
Individual Triathlon:
Until August 1st - $65

Race Day - $80
Relay Triathlon:

Kids Race:
We will have a kids fun run beginning at 8:30am at the Lake Arrowhead Village. Cost is $20 early registration and there are no late fees. Distance is 1K through the Village peninsula. All kids will receive finisher's medals, race t-shirts, and breakfast.

Our expo features some of the most exciting gear, nutrition and racing companies from around the country. You can often pick up last-minute gear, find out about hot new products, and meet some great new people.

Awards:
Ceremony will be held at the Lake Arrowhead Village following event. Overall male and female prizes. Three deep in each age group will receive medals. We will have LOTS of giveaways!
Charity:
This year's race will help raise money to benefit familes who lost
their homes due to the 2003 wild fires. Rebuilding MTN Hearts and Lives.

County. Take the 10 east or the 91 north to the 215 north to the 30
east. Exit Waterman (Hwy 18) towards Lake Arrowhead. Then take the 173

north to the 215 to the 30 east.

Camping Accomodations:
The Lake Arrowhead Ranger District, (909) 337-2444, offers many hiking trails and campgrounds that can accommodate a large number and variety of campers and their gear.
North Shore:
27 Lake Arrowhead campsites, some suitable for RV's. North Shore is located within a mixed oak and conifer forest. It is operated by a concessionaire. Located near the north shore of Lake Arrowhead, two miles northeast of the Lake Arrowhead Village.
Dogwood:
93 Lake Arrowhead campsites. 66 will accommodate tents. Many Sites are suitable for RV units. Sites are also available for trailers. There are also two multi-family sites (15 people, four vehicles per site). Two sites for the handicapped are also available. Dogwood is located in a heavily forested site. It is named for it's beautiful Dogwood trees, whose spring blossoms and colorful fall foliage present spectacular displays. It is a popular campground, so early reservations are recommended.
